It is not often it rains in Los Angeles...I happen to be one who loves the rain...So as I woke up this morning, my wife asked me what I was going to do today. I said..''Street shooting..What else.'' It is not often it rains in L.A. and so when it does, I am out there. One of my favorite things to shoot are umbrellas. They always add some mystery to me. While most of the folks in my area use them to shield themselves from the sun..On this day, they where used to shield themselves from the rain....These images where shot in Boyle heights in East Los Angeles...

These next two images where made at the Griffith park observatory...It goes to show hoe dreary indeed it was up there.... The second image is my second favorite of the day..It was an accident really, but often times those seem to turn out pretty good...

My favorite image was this candid I took of my son. He really loves the water. He has, since the day he was in the womb...We where at some old rail road tracks we found and we where on our way home....
The Pentax K20D and DA*50-135F/2.8 is a weather resistant set up and I sure put it to the test this rainy day.....
